If so then your credit card has a RFID (radio frequency identification) chip in it and you are not alone. According to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) all credit cards, debit cards, passports, and drivers licenses are going to have to have RFID chips installed.

It is already being done with passports and most credit cards. This will make a lot of processes much faster and easier. Regrettably this will make it easier for thieves to steal this information.
